"RESTORED WEST FIFE RAILWAY NOW ANOTHER STEP CLOSER" declares West Fife SNP Councillor William Walker West Fife SNP Councillor William Walker has wholehearted welcomed the very good news that a positive case for re-opening and upgrading the existing West Fife Railway line will be made in a feasibility study to be presented to the South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) by transport consultants Scott Wilson Ltd. The commissioning of the report by SEStran last year was requested by SNP-led Fife Council to investigate the technical and commercial "connectivity" options between Clackmannanshire and Edinburgh via Fife.
